SAP

SAP RPA is a cloud solution that works with the on-premise components Desktop Agent and Desktop Studio. SAP acquired Contextor in 2018 and added it to their RPA offering in 2019.

Desktop Studio/Cloud Studio: Where you develop the Automation – a set of scripts describing what is expected.

Desktop Agent: The local component that executes the Automation – requires a connection to Cloud Factory.

Cloud Factory: A central repository that runs and is hosted on SAP Cloud Platform – manages all common resources for SAP RPA.

SAP envisions an ERP-focused automation service, with end-to-end capabilities that include process discovery, DPA, and AI-ML all delivered from the cloud.

SAP offers its RPA with built-in connectors for SAP S/4HANA, ABAP and UI5, and so could be useful for Customers with SAP S/4HANA.

SAP has a  transaction-based pricing. Based on Contextor’s script-heavy and technical-developer-friendly RPA, it is not the easiest to use RPA but SAP has a great vision and roadmap!
